Pay rate: �12.00/ hour

Working hours: Full Time, Permanent, 45 hours. Shifts are scheduled on a rota basis between 11:30am(earliest start time) - 10:30pm(latest finish time) -Subject to changes, weekdays and weekends.

Job purpose: As General Assistant you will be COOKING. The role involves extensive food preparation such as ingredients preps, assembling dishes, helping with deliveries, ensuring enough stock, and keeping all working areas organised and clean.

Your duties will include:

• Extensive food preparation;
• Cooking rice/ ramen/ Udon/ yakisoba etc
• Frying Gyoza/ Takoyaki/ Katsu etc
  
• You will be handling meat products including Chicken, Pork, Beef, Lamb and Fish.
• Operating the till
• Serving a customers behind the counter in friendly and professional manner, quickly and efficiently;
  
• Maintaining hygiene standards
• Other tasks that might be associated with your role.
  
• This role requires you to stand for your whole shift (excluding breaks)
• Lifting, bending, carrying and stretching on a regular basis

What we are looking for:

• Weekend availability is a MUST
• Have proven kitchen experience in the fast paced environment is ideal.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• Passion for working in the kitchen and delivering excellent food quality.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication.
• An understanding of Food Safety standards.
• Ability to multitask with a "hands on" approach to work.
• Experience within a Japanese restaurant/ production is an advantage.
• Eligible to work in the UK- YMS / working holiday visa welcome.
